Air India beats IndiGo and Singapore Airlines in Asia-Pacific punctuality rankings

Air India placed fourth in Asia-Pacific on-time performance rankings for June, ahead of Singapore Airlines and IndiGo.

Air India placed fourth in Asia-Pacific on-time performance rankings for June, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium, finishing behind Jeju Air, Korean Air and Scoot but ahead of both Singapore Airlines and IndiGo.

Globally, Cirium’s June 2026 On-Time Performance Report placed Air India fourth overall, with an on-time arrival rate of 86.85% across 15,135 tracked flights — behind Saudia, Korean Air and Aeromexico, and just ahead of Singapore Airlines. The airline also posted an on-time departure rate of 86.23% and a completion factor of 99.7%, meaning almost all scheduled flights were operated.

Air India, which is owned by the Tata Group and continuing its broader transformation programme, said the ranking “underscores the airline’s continued focus on operational reliability and schedule integrity,” crediting investments in operational resilience and network planning for the improvement.

Domestically, India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation tracked the Air India Group’s on-time performance at 74.5% in May across ten major airports, placing it third behind IndiGo and Akasa Air — with punctuality ranging from 89.5% of flights on time at Chennai to 62.4% at Lucknow.
